Lindsey Sanders, a Baltimore, Maryland native, has been part of the dance industry for over two decades. She is the co-owner of Backstage Dance Studio (Columbia, MD) as well as an award-winning choreographer, educator, music producer, and OneBeat Dance Brands judge. Lindsey specializes in commercial dance, hip hop, jazz, and performance training, working with dancers at the pre-professional level while also traveling to judge, teach, and choreograph in competition, convention, and studio settings.

Since beginning her career as a competitive choreographer in 2015, Lindsey’s work has earned numerous top-score, choreography, entertainment, and best-in-genre awards at the regional and national levels. Her routines have received multiple Industry Dance Awards nominations for Best in Hip Hop and People’s Choice, with two pieces advancing as official Best in Hip Hop finalists. Her choreography also received the Stellar Award at Beyond the Stars Nationals in both 2021 and 2022.

Known for her strong musicality, creativity, and attention to detail, Lindsey also edits and produces music, which enhances both her choreographic process and judging perspective. Under her leadership, she has helped expand and develop successful competitive and recreational dance programs while training dancers who have continued their education and performance careers at the collegiate and professional levels.

Before beginning her career as an educator and choreographer, Lindsey performed in numerous award-winning competitive routines and trained extensively in technical, street, and commercial dance styles. She was accepted into the Baltimore School for the Arts, performed as a member of the crew Dynamic at the University of Maryland, and attended Monsters of Hip Hop multiple times each year, where she trained with leading choreographers in the commercial dance industry.
